#1 thing why UX designers struggle to find a job after a bootcamp is simply not enough projects in their portfolio. The minimum is 3 cases. That's why I created this program: to help designers add a portfolio project in which they can show their best as designers.

Check the UX reality

Doing the hackathon might have been the best thing that happened to me as a designer. I've not only gained practical skills that I can apply to my work, but I've also expanded my network by connecting with like-minded individuals. The overall experience was both professional and fun, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to grow their skills and knowledge in the field of Product design.

As a starting UX/UI designer, this hackathon helped me build a solid base when it comes to best practices as a UX/UI designer. Definitely, a lot of personal work is required, but after this hackathon, I feel that I'm more aware of what I should pay attention to when it comes to dealing with a Project, the process that should be followed, and how to build a solid portfolio with solid case studies. All this is achieved thanks to Inès live feedback and master classes!

You helped me grow so much as a designer in these 2 weeks. I personally haven’t taken any bootcamps, but I strongly believe this hackathon provides more real-life practical skills than a bootcamp. Theories and figma skills I can learn on my own!

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Are we working alone or in groups?

Alone, but not lonely. 😉 The goal of this program is to add a new project to your portfolio that can show your value as a UX designer. So you’ll be working alone, but you can collaborate in groups to brainstorm ideas and will always get feedback from Inès and peers.

Can I participate if I just finished a bootcamp?

Yes, usually after a bootcamp, you have some theoretical knowledge and 1-2 cases in your portfolio, so it should be enough. Skills you need to have: Figma and UI skills, basic knowledge of UX process, written and spoken English.

I’m afraid I don’t have time, but I want to participate. Can I still do it?

That is no problem; you can move at your own pace. I will give you all the guidance and you will see how others complete the task so you can finish the project when you have time.

Can I do a project of my own?

Yes, you can, I can review the brief with you to ensure you have all the needed constraints.

Can I see the example of a brief and an end project?

Yes, I tested the program during the UX reality with Grace Kyalo. You can check the result here.

How feedback-giving will be organised?

There will be a Design Critique each week on Saturday and a feedback channel in Slack. All sessions will be available as a recording afterwards.

Will I still get the feedback if I decide to move at my own pace and do some work after the program finishes?

I can't promise this. But you can collaborate in the Slack community with your peers and ask for advice later, even when the program is officially over. But of course, for a better experience, I suggest you plan your schedule and commit ahead.

What is I don't like the program?

That's perfectly normal. Try the program for 5 days, if you don't like it, then. drop off — no questions asked :)
